Denmark will apply updated income statistics from 1 July 2026 when assessing whether salaries offered under several work and residence permit routes meet Danish standards. Ireland has introduced stricter family reunification rules for non-EEA nationals and beneficiaries of international protection, including higher financial thresholds and additional eligibility requirements. Switzerland has lifted visa restrictions for Ethiopian nationals, restoring several visa facilitation measures following improved cooperation on returns. The United Kingdom has extended the period during which expired Biometric Residence Permits can be used to verify identity through the UK Immigration: ID Check app as part of the transition to the eVisa system.
