Several countries in the Americas are reducing statutory working hours. Brazil has proposed a move to a 40-hour week, Mexico has formally enacted its phased reform, and Chile and Colombia are already implementing reductions. These changes affect working time planning, labour costs and compliance, and so employers must ensure they are across the developments.
